VOILE is a collection comprising three bags crafted from upcycled sailcloth. The collection encompasses an everyday backpack, a lightweight pack, and a shoulder bag. Old sails, in my perspective, represent a waste material that possesses quality too high to be discarded. Currently, there is no effective solution for recycling or reusing used sails, but VOILE seeks to change that. Sailcloth is known for its durability, waterproof properties, lightweight nature, and perhaps its most significant advantage: transparency.
The EVERYDAYPACK boasts a 20-liter capacity and weighs just 450 grams. Its padded shoulder straps, along with a cushioned and reinforced back, ensure comfort even with heavy contents. Additionally, the Daypack includes a 16" laptop compartment and a waterproof external pocket.
The LIGHTPACK has a 13-liter capacity and a mere 190-gram net weight.
The SHOULDERPACK offers a 2-liter volume and weighs a mere 80 grams.
At the end of the semester, I had the honor of being selected to present my project at the University’s open house as one of the top projects within the faculty.
